SDSU Welcomes Maya Bachar as a Presidential Scholar

San Diego State University is thrilled to welcome the incoming class of Presidential Scholars -- a group of incoming freshmen from high schools across California who show a true commitment to excellence.

The students - including Maya Bachar, a graduate of Los Angeles's LA Center Enriched Studies -- reflect the rich diversity of SDSU and represent a cross section of future leaders.

As a Presidential Scholar, Bachar was granted admission to the university's prestigious Honors Program and will attend events and meetings with SDSU's president. During their time at SDSU, Presidential Scholars will have the opportunity to participate in transformational educational programs such as mentorships, internships and study abroad.
